Hello! My name is Jillian Leedy.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Cincinnati in the spring of 2014 with a BA in English-Rhetoric and Professional Writing, a minor in Psychology, and focused studies in Journalism, Marketing & Advertising, and Communications & Public Relations.
Throughout college, I was a reporter for the University of Cincinnati newspaper, The News Record, and a writer for Commonplace, a national online journal for college students. Additionally, I had the opportunity to create freelance advertising and marketing work with multiple clients I garnered from my connections at the university and through the graduate-level courses I took as an undergrad. I created promotional materials, including brochures, posters, blogs, websites, and press releases, for such places as The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, The Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati, and the University of Cincinnati. During this time, I was also a freelance copywriter for Imbue by J Russo, a local bridal couture shop.
Currently, I am the Content Marketing Manager for Predictronics, a software company and engineering consultant firm in Cincinnati, OH. Predictronics delivers predictive analytics software and industrial AI solutions that improve business efficiency and minimize unplanned downtime by detecting, predicting, and preventing asset failures. The vision is to ensure positive growth in productivity and product quality and reduce wasted time, money, and resources. Predictronics provides technologies and engineering consultation services to numerous major clients worldwide, including many Fortune 500 companies. Predictronics solutions impact nearly every industry, with applications in manufacturing, energy, transportation, construction, agriculture, medicine, electronics, and robotics.
It is my responsibility to translate complex technical concepts, processes, and functions into content that drives interest, excitement, and understanding in the software and services that Predictronics offers. I develop various marketing, business, and technical materials, such as case studies, press releases, website content, brochures, promotional print materials, software training course materials, software user manuals, photography, videos, blog posts, social media posts and graphics, in-house training materials and employee literature, customer surveys, client presentations, marketing emails, and branding guidelines. In addition, I coordinate marketing events including, webinars, conferences, summits, conventions, and more, and I help consult with clients, potential and current.
Beyond my day job, I am a freelance copywriting consultant for LPK: Global Brand Design Agency and a freelance writer and blogger for the online publications BuzzFeed, Thought Catalog, and Medium.
I have also turned my passion for photography into professional freelance gigs, capturing local events, institutions, and businesses through the lens. My photography has been featured by the Cincinnati Visitors Bureau, Local 12/WKRC, WCPO Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Parks, the Uptown Innovation Corridor, 365Cincinnati, Graeter’s, the Northern Kentucky Visitors Bureau, The National Exemplar, Harvest Pizzeria, and Libby’s Southern Comfort on their social media and websites and in their online marketing campaigns.
In my spare time, I run a travel blog and Instagram. Both have become a fun way for me to share my travel adventures and photography. I have always had a passion for seeing new sights, learning about history and other cultures, trying different foods, and gathering unique experiences. Exploring the world captivates me. Growing up, I was also instilled with a fervent love of national parks and a desire to preserve natural treasures. In my life, I hope to visit as many destinations as possible and hike through all of our national parks.
Another one of my great passions in life is charity work. I currently volunteer for the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, the Cincinnati Parks, Cincinnati’s PBS station (WCET), and the humanitarian aid organization, Mathew 25: Ministries.
Over the years, I have volunteered for many other causes, such as The Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Freestore Foodbank, Ronald McDonald House Charities, CAIN Food Pantry, Atria Senior Living, and Llanfair Retirement Community.
There are numerous organizations and insititutions that I am a current or former member of and have been connected to throughout my life, including University of Cincinnati Alumni, Phi Beta Kappa Society, Society of Professional Journalists, Online News Association of Cincinnati, Chi Omega, Chi Omega Alumnae, Friends of the Smokies – Great Smoky Mountains National Park Foundation Association, the Taft Museum of Art, and MoMA. These affiliations allow me to network professionally and connect socially with others, further educate myself within my skill-set and areas of expertise, and/or support causes and charities that I champion.
Other hobbies and interests of mine include creative writing, cooking and baking, card making, jewelry making, crocheting, painting, pottery making, theatre, piano, songwriting, filmmaking, collecting jazz vinyls, and design. I am also conversationally fluent in Spanish.
Throughout my life, I hope to pursue work in professional writing, journalism, magazine writing, advertising, copywriting, photography, publishing, marketing, radio, film, integrated media, and communications.
I aspire to one day be a novelist, screenwriter, and/or playwright.
