The continuation of the final season of Mad Men is almost upon us and NYC has been partying it up Don Draper style.
For the promotion of these last episodes, New York City restaurants are having a Mad Men Dining Week where customers can pay the low price of $19.69 and, in return, receive a 1960s-inspired meal including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktails.
And now, a Don Draper silhouetted bench has been erected in Rockefeller Center, along with the change of the street signs to Mad Men Avenue and Don Draper Way.
I’m assuming that the street sign thing is just temporary, because that might get confusing over time for people, and the dining week is just for a week, but I hope for my sake and the sake of New York City/Mad Men-loving tourists everywhere that they keep the Don Draper bench as a permanent fixture.
I don’t have the ability to get to NYC now during their promotional tour. But, I SO want to have a photo seated next to Don Draper on the bench in Rockefeller the next time I’m in New York!
Anyways, hats off to their promotional team.
What a fun way to advertise *winkwinknudgenudge* the ending of this beloved series!
2 weeks until Mad Men!!!
